Torrefied Wood in 1999 and since then has renewed interest in TW for use as:

power plants.

densified biomass fuels.

high quality biomass fuel for advanced bioenergy applications.

The
French developed industrial equipment in the 1980’s for production of Torrefied
Wood as a substitute for charcoal.
